Official ISAG Tournament Rules

1. Team Score | Best Ball Format:

a. Each team to submit ONE score card for the team. Must have sign off from other group in foursome

b. All scores are recorded as net scores.

c. Net double bogey max. E.g. If you're getting 2 strokes on a par 4 and you're on your 8th shot, you should just pick it up because the worst you can do is a net 6.

2. First Tee Box (ONLY): Carolina Mulligan: No matter where your ball ends up (even if you cannot find it), you can move your ball or drop a new ball (without penalty) in the middle of the fairway at a distance that is equal to the distance your ball traveled. There is no penalty for this. This does not count as one of your mulligans. This is in lieu of Hit 2, Play 1...so DO NOT tee off twice.


3. Mulligans:

a. You get 2 mulligans that can be used anywhere on the course.

b. You MUST DECLARE that you are using a mulligan. You cannot drop a second ball to retry a messed up shot as a "practice" shot and then declare it your mulligan after you hit a good shot.

i. DO NOT TAKE EXTRA PRACTICE SHOTS ON THE COURSE!

c. Your mulligan shot is live. You cannot pick the best between the two.

d. A mulligan shot can NOT win a close-up.


4. Throw: You get 1 throw anywhere on the course. It does NOT count as a stroke. You must declare you are using your throw prior to. You can NOT throw if you ball is on the green. You may NOT use your mulligan for a second throw.


5. Lie Improvement:

a. You can improve the lie of your ball in any direction (including toward the pin) by one club length on any/every shot. Exceptions:

i. Bunker: You may improve your lie within a bunker, but you may NOT escape the bunker.

ii. You cannot improve your ball onto the green or anywhere while on the green.

b. You can lift, clean, and place in every instance.


6. Inside the Rubber:

a. Any ball left outside of the pin by a distance shorter than the length between the putter head and the putter grip is automatically good.Should be about a 24" halo. Don't spend a bunch of time measuring.

b. There is no "GOOD-GOOD"!!!


7. Drops: All drops are placed at the nearest lateral (or behind) location that provides an unobstructed view of the hole. One shot penalty.


8. You CAN ground your club in all hazards, including bunkers.


9. Pace of Play:

a. Be sure to keep up with the group in front of you and be mindful of pace of play! Most of these rules are designed to help speed up the game play. If you're behind pace of play, don't play your ball out if your partner has already recorded a score that you cannot improve.
